While you’re in South Fork
South Fork, CO sits at 8,200 feet in the Rio Grande National Forest — and race weekend happens to land right in the middle of one of the town's biggest events of the year.
Logger Days — July 17–19
Happening the same weekend as the race — FREE & open to the public
Logger Days celebrates the area's culture and history with competitions rooted in the tradition of logging. Crowd favorites include chainsaw carving, the ax throw, the two-man cross cut, and a relay race with members pulled from the audience. There's also a Rockin' the Rio Grande Rodeo Saturday evening, food trucks, a beer garden, and kids activities — all centered around the South Fork Community Building. Bring the family out after Day 1.
